LOS OLIVOS CAFÉ HOSTS FOXEN WINEMAKER DINNER ON OCTOBER 10, 2003

Los Olivos, Santa Barbara County, California--Sam and Shawnda Marmorstein, owners of the Los Olivos Café & Wine Merchant, are pleased to announce a winemaker dinner celebrating Foxen Vineyards on Friday evening, October 10, 2003. The public is invited to enjoy the cuisine of the restaurant's popular Chef Nat Ely paired with the premium vintages of Foxen Vineyards & Winery of Santa Maria.

Since 1985, Foxen winemakers/owners Richard Dore and Bill Wathen have produced award-winning wines from their own Tinaquaic estate vineyard, as well as from other fine Santa Barbara County vineyards such as Bien Nacido. Of Foxen's average 8,000-case annual production, more than 50% is Pinot Noir.

Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy five different palate-pleasing Foxen wines specifically paired with five gourmet food courses. Chef Nat's entrée of dry marinated veal chop served with sautéed red chard, roasted butternut squash, Yukon gold potato gratin and cinnamon port jus was created especially to match the tantalizing Foxen Pinot Noir.

The Los Olivos Café is located at 2879 Grand Avenue in downtown Los Olivos, in the heart of Santa Barbara County's Wine Country. The casual yet elegant restaurant serves California cuisine with a Mediterranean flair for lunch and dinner daily from 11:00AM to 9:00PM.
